Checkin in
Not much new going on. The wife took a leave of absence from her work so we could get some things done before surgery. Mainly get a good deep cleaning of the house done. I'm finally sleeping a bit better. My attitude is better too. I'm optimistic that within 3-4 months I'll be good as new. Except for a new scar or 2, but that's OK, it'll just match the ones I already have.
Changing subjects, I've always been an American car fan but the little Nissan that my Father-in-law loaned me is making me rethink a little. This thing has almost 200,000 miles on it, it hasn't had the oil changed in 50,000 miles and recently had been parked for 3 months. I needed to move it today and was expecting to have to jump start it but once again this tough little sumbitch surprised me. I put the key in and the thing started up like I'd driven it yesterday. In case you're asking why the oil hasn't been changed, when I borrowed it Kim's Dad said NOT to change the oil as it might "knock something loose" and screw it up. It leaks a little bit of oil so just keep it topped off.
OK, it's his car so I reckon I'll do what he wants. Although he recently said we can have it so I'm thinking I might take it to my mechanic and have him go through it and replace and/or repair anything that needs it and drive the damn thing until the wheels fall off.
Here's a couple pics of "Ole ugly"
