This drives me friggin nuts

I was at Wal-Mart today and watched a lady unload her shopping cart into her SUV. She was on the passenger side. She then proceded to put her cart right in front of her SUV by the curb. The cart corral was the space by her drivers side. She would have had to walk around her SUV to put it in the right place. I wanted to say something but I didn't. How worthless and lazy do you have to be to do that though?

People always whine like little girls when they get a scratch on their precious SUV's but they're too lazy to walk a few feet to put a shopping cart in the corral.

Subject change....You may remember that Marlin rifle I ordered a couple of weeks ago. Well my gun dealer said that it's backordered and he doesn't know when he can get one so I had him order me something different. I had him order me a Smith and Wesson model 638. It's a lightweight 38 Special snubnose revolver with a shrouded hammer. It ain't a hunting gun but it should be an ideal carry gun when I get my concealed carry license. Here's the link to what it looks like. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=14772&langId=-1&isFirearm=Y

Put the Christmas tree up yesterday

It looks good. We went with an all blue tree this year. Kim likes the all one color look better. We didn't get any shopping in. The boy was up till midnight Thurday night so the last thing we wanted to do was get up early.

Other than that nothing is going on.

Happy Thanksgiving

We went up to my Mom's house today. Of course we had turkey and watched the football games. The Detroit-Atlanta game was boring. Detroit got their asses handed to them but the Dallas-Denver game was good. Denver won though, which sucks.

We're gonna get up tomorrow and look at new cars. We're thinking that with all the low interest rates and the American car companies doing almost anything to sell cars we may be able to pick up something with similar payments as we have now. I guess we'll see. Neither one of us are too impressed with the Focus Station Wagon but it's been an OK car.

We're gonna have Thanksgiving again tomorrow also but this time with Kim's Mom. We're gonna have turkey again and set up the Christmas tree. We'll also have out "Official Christmas Lighting Ceremony" tomorrow evening. LOL It should be a good day tomorrow.

I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Chiefs game

Finally a game that didn't threaten to give me a heart attack. The Chiefs stomped the Houston Texans. But then again they were 1-8 but hey, I'll take it.

Here we go again

I had planned on deer hunting from Wednesday until Sunday. Well the Tuesday before I was doing something outside and slipped. Dammit, I hurt my back. I've had a lot of back problems so this is nothing new but to do it right before I was going to go hunting pissed me off. Oh well, maybe it'll feel better Wednesday morning. And it did, a little. So I went to meet my Dad where he was hunting.

We didn't get any hunting in Wednesday but hit it bright and early Thursday morning. After about an hour my back was friggin killing me. I had brought a pillow to sit on but I forgot to bring it in the woods with me. My Dad shot at a doe but missed. Didn't find ANY blood at all. So we head back to the camper. Did some running around in Warsaw and got back to the camper about 1:30 so I decide to head back into the woods. This time I brought my pillow but my back still hurt like hell. So I decide to give up, my back feels like it's on fire.

So I go home pissed off because once again a physical injury keeps me from doing something that I want. It sucks, I'm 34 years old and I have a bad ankle, shoulder, back, and weak knees. I just had a hernia surgery this year and I think I've messed that up again. It's frustrating. I'm done whining now.

Hopefully I can figure something out before I go hunting again. Maybe I should drag a recliner down to the woods. :)

Sick baby

Well Tucker is sick for the 1st time. What an experience. Kim was up all night the night before last and I was up all last night. It's nothing major but we think he has a cold. His nose is runny, he's coughing just a bit, he's tugging on his ears like he has an ear ache and he's just basically in a pissy mood. And he absolutely refuses to sleep. He's clingy enough as it is and now he's just pathetic. Oh well, we created this monster. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Well the Chiefs lost today but they deserved too. I would be surprised if they finish better than 9-7. It's getting to where I don't care about them. ;) It's healthier than getting pissed at them.

Got the Christmas lights up

This is the 1st time I ever did it by myself. I think I did a pretty good job. I may add on but I think Kim is happy with them the way they are. I lit them up to check them out but I probably won't light them again until after Thanksgiving. Now that I have a son I'm really getting into the holidays more. Next year is gonna be a blast. Tucker will be old enough to really enjoy it. I can't wait.

Well, I'm gonna go hunting this year. It's been forever since I've went so I can't wait.

New rifle

You may remember a few days ago I talked about putting a Ruger 9MM pstol on layaway. Well instead I got a Marlin 1894c lever action 357 carbine. I just don't trust semi-auto's and besides I wouldn't want to hunt with the pistol. I can't wait to pick it up. It will be ideal for these brushy woods around Southern Missouri. Here's the link. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/firearms/1894_centerfireRifles/1894C.htm#

I'll be hunting near Warsaw Missouri with my Dad, my brother and my nephew. It should be fun. I haven't been hunting in years so it'll be good to be back in the woods. Hopefully I'll have time to sight my rifle but if not I'll borrow my Dad's Marlin in 35Rem. That thing drops deer like there's no tomorrow.

One more thing to add, if you need a hunting knife head to Wal-Mart. They have Buck 110's for $23.44. That is an EXCELLENT price.

Finally

We finally got a couple of checks we've been waiting on. There is nothing more frustrating than counting pennies knowing that you have money somewhere in the mail. Oh well, they're here and we can start paying off some bills. Of course I wanna buy a couple of other things but Kim doesn't want me too. It's an ongoing argument. She likes money and I like the things that money buys. Oh well, we'll figure out something.

Did you see that Chiefs game? Oh my goodness, my heart can't take that. Kim has already told me that if I ever get diagnosed with heart problems I will not be allowed to watch the Chiefs. Probably not a bad idea.

Did you hear about Ashlee Simpson's little fiasco at McDonalds? Here's the link. http://entertainment.msn.com/music/hotgossip?GT1=7418
I friggin despise Hollywood types. These ignorant derelicts have no clue how to act like a respectful person yet have the gall to tell us how we should vote come election time. If I were the manager of that Mcd's I would have thrown her out.

Well it's Friday

and I have beer. Life is good. I'm aware I'm not a very good Southern Baptist. Although my preacher isn't as fire and brimstone about alcohol as some of them I've seen. My belief is that it's not the alcohol that is the problem but the stupid crap you do while under the influence that is. So with that I stay home and be good. No driving, no getting into fights. Although I was never much of a person who started fights. It always seemed to me a pretty weak way to test your manhood. If you're that insecure you need to grow up.

Don't have anything planned for the weekend except cleaning house. Fun fun fun. Oh well, it needs to be done.

Well, see ya later.

We made it back

We got back in town Tuesday. We had a good time. Everyone was excited about Tucker and we got to see Kim's cousin's baby for the 1st time.

I think I'm gonna sell my truck. It's been a good truck but we don't drive it anymore. It needs a heater core in it but we didn't get it fixed because we can't afford the gas in it. It's a 3/4 ton Ford F250 with a 351 engine. It's a gashog. I'm selling it to my landlord. It's a good truck and he's been great and he can use it. His little S10 is just about worn out.

I guess he's hauled to many refrigerators in it. His truck is only a 4 banger so it's not the most powerful force in the universe. I may see if he wants to sell it to me for a hundred bucks or so. I would rarely drive it but it would be nice to just have an extra vehicle around here.

On another note, THE MCRIB IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy, I love the McRib. I love this time of year, football, cooler weather, the holidays, and the food. From pumpkin pies to turkey to McRibs it's all good.
