Buying American and feeling screwed

My 4 year old son is obsessed with bowling. So we've bought several sets of plastic toy bowling pins. Concerned over lead paint I've been trying to buy American made toy pins and I gotta tell ya. This experience with "supporting the good ole US of A" makes me sick.

I've bought 3 sets of them and out of 30 pins, less than 10 of the pins would set on a flat linoleum surface without major sandpapering the bottom of the pin. Now I could understand if maybe 1 or 2 were like that but this many? And they all weren't made by the same company, IIRC 2 sets were made by the same company and the third was made by someone else but I may be wrong. They may be made by 3 different companies.

This is ridiculous. If these American companies want us to buy their products at higher prices than the stuff made in China at least make it of decent quality. I don't mind paying a little more for good quality.

I don't know why this is bothering me today. Maybe it's because I keep hearing how the gov't is keeps rewarding failing businesses with my tax dollars. Bush did it and now Obama is doing it. Of course when Bush did it it was bad and Obama doing it is OK but Americans are too stupid to realize that neither party is worth a shit.

Obama's their golden boy right now but he's a big government tyrant just like the rest of them.

This is utterly shameful

It used to be that I thought joining the military was good for young men. However, between my treatment by VA and stories like this I no longer think think so. It's fine if you don't get hurt but if you do prepare to get screwed. Plus I'm getting to where I'm finding it hard to justify fighting for the gov't. I'd die defending my country but the gov't, lemme think about that. Shitbags.
