More thoughts....

I've calmed down a bit from yesterday. I'm still not happy. I understand that health care is screwed up in this country and it DOES need changed but I simply think we're going about it the wrong way.

It seems that a lot of the trouble started because of the HMO act about 30 years ago. Health care got screwed up BECAUSE gov't got involved and now they're getting MORE involved? How is that gonna fix things? What is the logic behind it?

Everything the gov't touches turns into an oversized bureaucracy. If you think there's a lot of BS paperwork now just wait and see.

Plus, what really scares me is that they'll "punish" some groups because of their unhealthy ways but not others. I bet smokers get hosed with gobs of new taxes but motorcycle riders, fat people, sky divers, teen drivers, UFC fighters and other people who cost more than average won't get taxed.

It will turn into a "let's tax people we don't like" orgy and will slowly end up as social engineering.

You can bet that "unhealthy people" will get punished even though some research shows that healthy people are more expensive to treat for a lifetime.

So basically it's going to be an oversized gov't clusterfuck, unfairly payed for by certain people, so that we can ALL get mediocre health care if we can live long enough to wait for all the paperwork to go through.

Sounds great doesn't it?

Well the Health Care bill became law today...

Ain't it great? I thought this was supposed to be a gov't OF THE PEOPLE? If I am correct half of America doesn't want this. If 80% of the citizens of this country wanted it I wouldn't have as much of a problem but most polls are split about 50-50. All of America is now going to have to pay for something that only half of us wants.

The time is coming. I foresee a time when this "cultural war" turns hot. America is running headlong into another civil war. And it's because of shit like this being shoved down our throats.

I hope we can get every one of those shitbags voted out next election. Let's get this damn thing repealed before it sinks our economy.

Of course having the Republicans in there isn't much better. We're damned if we do and damned if we don't. They certainly won't fix health care either.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep. Praise the LORD and pass the ammo.

Good news

The CT scan came back OK. No evidence of anything bad. That's always a relief. I always get nervous when I go for those.

Anyway, this weekend was pretty good. Saturday we went to an RV show. We looked at a bunch of campers and of course got the cabin fever going pretty good. Hurry up Spring!!! I want to go camping!!!! Kim and I are considering getting a camper at some point. We both enjoy camping but we both know we don't want a pop-up. We want a real camper.

Sunday, we went bowling. Well, actually Tucker went bowling, along with my Dad and Nikki while Kim, Mom and I watched. Tucker bowled a 111!!! Without bumpers!!!!!! He's not even 5 yet. The people around us were simply amazed. This little kid bowling like this. Needless to say Mommy and Daddy were pretty proud. We got a pretty special kid.

Well, I'm gonna get off of here. Tucker wants to play on the internet before we go to bed. So until next time....Bye!!!!!!

I go get a CT scan tomorrow

It's another follow up on my cancer. They're still checking on it to make sure it hasn't come back. I always get nervous when I go. I'm always afraid they'll find something and the nightmare will start over again. Hopefully they won't but it'll always be on the back of my mind.

My back has been hurting lately, I'm slowly trying to be more active but it's hard. When you're in pain it's awfully easy to just want to sit down, of course that makes things worse so you can't win.

Did I tell you Tucker has a buddy? He has a friend named Mason he has met a few times up at the McDonald's playplace that he plays with. He's 4 and and half. They get along great with each other. He seems like a great kid.

Other than that just trying to get by and survive. The Focus is about paid off so that'll free up a few bucks. It seems like we've been paying on it forever but we actually got it right before Tucker was born. It's been a pretty good car, definitely has been tough. I've been so hard on that car and it keeps on going. We thought about trading it in but I think we're gonna keep it. It's got less than 90,000 miles and still runs great. It looks like hell but who cares?

So that's it for now, Tucker turns 5 next Friday(March 12th). He's growing up so fast. It won't be long before he's out of the house and on his own. Hopefully we're raising him right. It's tough sometimes but I think we're doing OK. he's a stubborn little shit sometimes. But he comes by that honestly. Rumor has it his Daddy is the same way. LOL

So...until next time, Bye!!!!!
