Well I'm back

It's been a while since I've been on here. I had my surgery on the 17th. I had 3 hernia's, the big one in the middle and 2 smaller ones on the side. I have a mesh screen basically covering my entire abdomen now so hopefully I can avoid this in the future. The last 10 days have been painful but I'm starting to feel human again.

Hopefully now I can get healed up so we can get on with our lives. We have decided that we're going to try and go to Disney world next December. Of course we have a LOT of saving we have to do, not to mention we need to get in better shape. Hopefully this is the last surgery I have for 20-30 years.

As soon as I heal up I also want to start taking a cane martial arts class. I'm sure I have mentioned it, there's a Martial Arts Hall of Fame instructor in Branson who teaches a class about using a walking cane as a self defense weapon. Since I'm carrying a cane now I'd like to take that class.

Hopefully we can get back into doing more stuff at church. We've been so busy lately with my medical problems we haven't been able to do much.

Tucker is doing great. He knows his numbers, letters and is starting to tell time. And I don't mean on a digital clock. He's so inquisitive about things. Plus he has someone with him all the time that is willing to spend time with him and give him lots of one on one attention. Although we're thinking about putting him in daycare a day or two a week so he can start learning how to socialize. He also needs to learn the concept of sharing, sometimes that's a difficult concept for an only child.


So, it's been busy around here but hopefully it'll calm down a little. Although we're wanting to get out more and do things. Since Tucker is getting older we want him to experience things, not just be stuck inside all the time.

5 days til my surgery

I'm not really looking forward to this. I know in a couple of months it'll be worth it but I'm just tired of hurting. It seems that as soon as I get healed up from 1 surgery I get to have another. If I'm not healed by the 4th of July I'm gonna be pissed. It's been 2 years since I've been able to shoot off fireworks. Of course since they're building houses behind my parents house I may not be able too anyway.

It's cold today, which is a little unusual for the middle of April. But the cold weather does keep the super cell thunderstorms from forming so I guess that's a positive.

I just can't believe how fast Tucker is growing. It seems just a few weeks ago he was a baby and now he's a little man. He talks in full sentences and is starting to learn addition and subtraction and also know how to spell a few words. Not bad for a kid that just turned 3. But one thing in his favor is that he's not shipped to a baby sitter all the time so he gets a lot of one on one attention. Although I do think I'm going to start sending him to a baby sitter for a least a day or 2 a week, just to get him to learn how to play and socialize with other kids. It's hard to teach an only child the concept of sharing and he needs to learn it.


So I'm gonna get off of here right now. If I'm not back on here until my surgery then hope for the best.

Stomach flu

Ugh!!! Tucker, Kim and Kim's mom have been suffering thru this for the last week. Guess who gets to clean up all of Tucker's doody and puke. Yeah, me. It's been a long week.

I need a drink.
