Things that suck

My back, and the Chiefs!!!! The last few days have been hell on my back. I was barely able to stand, much less walk. For the most part the last two days my butt was parked in my recliner, or on the couch with the heating pad one. But today it started feeling better so I'm able to move and do stuff.

The Chiefs suck worse than my back, and they're about as painful to watch as my back. In 3 games I've seen 3 Chiefs. The 1st game I saw a scrappy team that, despite growing pains, kept it close in Baltimore. I saw them pretty much dominate the Raiders only to screw themselves and lose it. And this last game I saw them being France while the Eagles were Germany.

But it's only 3 games and a decade's worth of mediocrity takes a while to change. But it sickens me to lose to Oakland. The trailer trash of the NFL, and they're PROUD of it.

Oh well, it's not that big of a deal. Fall is coming and I love it. Of course we're gonna be stuck in this house for Xmas but hopefully we'll be outta here next Spring. I'm just about tired of my idiot neighbors. Talk about inbred white trash. But it's wrong of me to judge. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with them if they left me alone but they act like they think I like them.

I'm polite but I'm not out there drinking beer with them. Of course he wants me to do that but people in hell want ice water. Not gonna happen. I can barely understand his mumbles when he's sober.

The Chiefs didn't look as bad as I thought they would

They started off the season in Baltimore. I figured they'd get slaughtered and they started out that way. But they slowly got back into the game and stayed in it until the very end. Baltimore is a tough team so they have nothing to be ashamed of. This gives me a slight glimmer of hope. Maybe we can improve from last year. Maybe Todd Haley has a plan and knows what he's doing.

Anyway, I think I have a wisdom tooth coming through. Something is wrong because my mouth is killing me. Hopefully I can see a dentist today. If I can't get anything done maybe at least they can deaden the area.

Other than that not much else going on. We're still having cool weather. I like it but I don't know if it will affect the farmers or not. I just wonder if this means we're gonna have a bad winter. The US Weather Service predicts a mild one while the Farmer's Almanac predicts a cold one. We'll see who's right. I hope it isn't too cold. This house is hard to heat.

I've been homeschooling Tucker the last week. Finally got started on that. I think I can do this. I certainly am starting better than I thought. I just have to think of ways to make it fun. Him learning isn't the problem, he's a bright little kid. The Dr's think he's gifted but I think we should hold off on the labels. When that happens people start expecting different things.

So for right now we'll just take it slow and do the best we can. He's only 4 so by the time he would have to start school I'm hoping he's gonna be ahead of most kids.

Homeschooling

Kim and I have decided to homeschool our son. After seeing some of the recent high school graduates when I went to college a couple of years ago and some of the teenagers in our youth classes at the church it's obvious to me that I can do better than the public school.

In both cases (college and church) there were teenagers who could barely read. And to get them to spell something? Forget it. It was painful to listen to them stumble through words while reading out loud. And I'm not talking about just the big words, the small everyday used ones were equally hard.

It sickened me. How many of our tax dollars got wasted with these kids? If they can't read they shouldn't have been able to graduate. Hell they shouldn't have been able to pass 8th grade.

So yeah, I'm gonna home school Tucker.

Why did he do this? Doesn't he have ANY decency in him? He knew that by releasing these photos it would do nothing but bring even more pain to this Marine's family. Isn't them losing their son enough? I guess not according to this pile of human excrement. I know wishing harm on someone is wrong but I can't help it. I hope this shitbag gets hurt BAD, and I hope it's on video so we can all laugh at him.
