Of course there's no liberal bias in the media

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/08/28/abc-and-nbc-refuse-to-run-ad-critical-of-obama-health-care/?icid=main|main|dl1|link6|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.politicsdaily.com%2F2009%2F08%2F28%2Fabc-and-nbc-refuse-to-run-ad-critical-of-obama-health-care%2F

Kinda speaks for itself. It cracks me up that all the liberals bitch about FOX but they're too fuggin stupid to realize that there are plenty of other networks that definitely lean toward the left. FOX may lean to the right somewhat but there are still plenty of shows on FOX that have a liberal bias.

Edited to add. I LOVE this comment on this story

Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it and whose members will be exempt from it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that is broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

YAY!!!! I get to bitch again!!!!!

OK, so the lead singer of Green Day thinks we should get rid of "AHH-nold". OK I understand that. However, here's the part that's funny.

Why isn't he bitching about how much Obama is spending? He sure bitched about Bush but oddly enough he hasn't said word one about Obama. Not that I've heard anyway. How come these shit bag idiot celebrities only bitch about Republicans?

When Clinton was sending our troops everywhere I never heard one iota from the lib-shitbags about that but when Bush sends our troops out they whine like 3 year old girls. Now that Obama is in no one is protesting the war. It's OK now.

That's the problem with these stupid shitbags, they're completely inconsistent with their views. They bitched about Bush helping the banks during the recession but OTOH were completely behind Obama helping the auto industry. Of course the Republicans were just the same. They're not getting off scot free either.

In both cases our gov't rewarded failing businesses with our tax dollars. Hell, if they were gonna give our tax dollars to companies why not reward the companies that DIDN'T need help. Instead of propping up failing businesses let's reward businesses that were run right.

Oh well, this Billy Joe Armstrong shitbag is stupid. Just like most people. And of course now that ole Ted Kennedy is dead he's being made out to be a saint. As far as I'm concerened he was still a shitbag. Let's ask Mary Jo Kopechne's family what they think of him. How wonderful he is. He kills someone and gets away with it.

You want to know why the Kennedy family has so much tragedy? It's called Karma, reaping what you sow. It's God's way of thinning out those criminals.

On the bright side, Tucker is feeling better.

Go Chiefs!!!

My boy is sick

For the last week or so Tucker has been sick. He's been coughing terribly, and just not feeling very good. Last Monday or Tuesday I took him to the Dr and he gave him some Amoxicillin. Well that wasn't doing anything so yesterday the Dr gave him azithromycin which is a more powerful antibiotic. Hopefully that works.

Of course as a Mr. Mom I'm absolutely worried sick. I'm like a woman when it comes to my son. I'm sure I'm a bit overprotective but he's my only child and probably will remain that way. My wife got real sick when she was pregnant with him. She really shouldn't risk having another.

Other than that just trying to keep our head above water. We always find a way though. It just gets frustrating though.

Oh well, til next time.

It's time for football!!!!

Well, preseason anyway. The Chiefs have played two games and I'm not quite sure how I feel yet. The defense looked good last game and the offense looked OK. They had a couple of poor drives and a couple of good ones. Larry Johnson looked good. I'm not expecting too much this season. I just want some improvement. Since they went 2-14 last year it shouldn't be too hard. I hope we can at least beat the Raiders.

Other than that not much going on. Kim too Friday off and we went to Silver Dollar City. That was fun, I couldn't believe the weather. It was mild with low humidity. Definitely not typical August weather. Of course this whole Summer has been mild. We had one or two weeks where it was hot but other than that it's been great. I just wonder how this Winter is gonna be.

Anyway, Saturday we went and saw Kim's Dad in Gainesville MO. It's about an hour and a half from us. He was excited to see the boy. I've never seen him act like that. He's usually really quiet and reserved. But Tucker is getting older and is at the age where he's a lot more fun and isn't as needy. He had almost as much fun as his Grandad.

It's Sunday now, we got back from Gainesville about 2 hours ago. Kim's taking a nap, Tucker's playing on the Wii and I'm talking to you yahoos. Kim took tomorrow off too but I doubt we're gonna do anything. Originally we had big plans for a huge weekend, maybe go to the Football Hall of Fame, or maybe Frankenmuth Michigan, something like that but finances put a quick end to that. Hopefully we can get those straightened out soon.

Well, I'm gonna get off of here for now. BYE!!!!!

What I believe

I may have mentioned before that I go to a Southern Baptist church. Well I want to say that that is not the case anymore. I have had a major shift in my religious beliefs. I kept having a hard time reconciling how a God that is "love" could let the vast majority of his creation burn in Hell for all of eternity.

I am a father and I would do ANYTHING to keep my child out of Hell, why wouldn't God, who is our Father, do the same? I finally started studying on it and praying and I eventually come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as an eternal Hell. But the Bible says there is. Or at least MY Bible does, and I do believe the Bible to be Holy.

However, the more I studied it the more I began to realize that maybe I was right. Maybe the whole "hell business" is a mistranslation. I won't try to explain it, I'll let these websites do it.

http://richardwaynegarganta.com/AGES%20OR%20ETERNITY%20AND%20THE%20KING%20JAMES%20VERSION.htm

http://bible-truths.com/lake1.html

I have plenty more websites like this. When I started reading this finally the Bible made sense, on one hand we are ALL saved yet at the same time we will all be punished for our sins, however instead of being tortured for eternity it will be a loving punishment like a father does to a disobedient child.

In fact, the phrase "eternal punishment" is an oxymoron if you think about it. Punishment is an action that you do(or receive) that is meant to change bad behavior. However, if it's eternal it certainly isn't changing anything so therefore it's not punishment, it's simply torture.

Of course I'm sure some will say that God doesn't "send anyone to Hell" that man chooses to go there himself. I say bullshit. If that is the case then it is obviously unfair to many people. The man who lives for 80 years in the middle of the Bible Belt in the USA is going to have a lot more chances to repent than the 14 year old Muslim in Saudi Arabia who gets killed for breaking their religious law.

The dominant belief in Christianity today tells us that the Muslim is going to Hell despite the fact he didn't get near the chances that the other guy got. It's simply not fair, you can BS it all you want but the one guy got more chances than the other guy.

Plus, we talk about how evil Hitler and Stalin were for killing millions of people, however, if God made just one person who he knows will burn in hell forever IMHO that makes him infinitely more evil than either of them. The victims of Hitler and Stalin were treated terribly but their pain ended, not so with the guy in Hell.

Well I've said my peace. I'm sure people out there will disagree with me but I think that what I believe really shows the love of God.

What's with this crazy weather?

This Summer has been extremely cool. We've had a few normal hot days but for the most part it's been much cooler than normal. I went outside today and it was probably 70 degrees. This was about 1:30 in the afternoon. Normally it's about 95 with about 75% humidity, pretty damn hot.

Other than that just trying to get by. What I want to know is why are there so many gov't programs out there to help people who are behind on their house payments or are deep into credit card debt but people who get into financial trouble with things that are beyond their control(like medical bills) are SOL?

I have a lot of medical bills and student loans. A few years ago I knew I couldn't do physical labor jobs anymore and went to school to get a new career. While in school I was diagnosed with cancer. I beat the cancer but was left totally disabled afterward. All that time laying around recovering trashed pretty much what strength was left in my back.

So now I'm in debt for things that were not basically me doing stupid shit, like getting a bunch of credit cards or buying a house I couldn't afford. But yet if I had done those things the gov't wants to help me.

Helping people with their mortgages, going after the credit card industry etc etc. NONE of these people who got into trouble were forced to get the credit cards they have or try and get a bigger because because mortgage rates were low. But they did these stupid things but now the taxpayer gets to bail them out.

I have another gripe too, it's with all these people in trouble because their adjustable rate mortgage rates went up. How friggin stupid are these people? If you buy a house with an ARM and the rates are at an all time low, exactly which way do you think your "adjustable" rate is going to "adjust"? That's right dumbass, UP!!!!

But that's OK, us taxpayers will help you out, Heaven forbid society tells you "Tough shit, don't be so fucking stupid next time"

I do have a bit of good news, I won a free Leatherman tool on http://forum.multitool.org/index.php

That's where I hang out nowadays.
