Thanksgiving was yesterday

and everything was delicious. We went up to my Mom's as usual and the food was great as usual. Man, my Mom can cook. She tried something different with the pumpkin pies and they were awesome. The best I've ever had. It was a good day. Ate, watched football and just relaxed. Captain Morgan even showed up but I had taken my medicine so I couldn't have any. Bummer, huh?

And I haven't been on here since last weekend, the Chiefs beat the Steelers!!!!!! The WORLD CHAMPION Steelers. It was great. That's 2 in a row. It's been a long time since we've had a streak. WOOHOO!!!! Hopefully this is the start of a turnaround. I didn't expect miracles this year but I wanted to see improvement and we finally are. They've sucked for so long. It was heartbreaking to see so many Steeler fans at Arrowhead, I wonder how many were fair weather Chiefs fans who just wanted to root for the team they expected to win.

Hopefully in a couple of years the Chiefs can get back to their winning ways, and I know I'm dreaming big but maybe even a Superbowl ring or 2, or 3.

On the home front I found out I get my disability hearing on Feb 1st. Hopefully that'll go well. I've got my relatively young age going against me but I do have a thick stack of medical papers in my file. I see shitbags everywhere who don't NEED disability but they get it so hopefully I'll get it.

So, the Xmas season has started and I'm getting excited. I'm a big kid when it comes to Xmas but I don't care. It's my favorite time of year, just because you grow up doesn't mean you have to grow old. Right? Although money will be tight but that's OK. Usually the adults in my family buy for each other but this year we're just gonna buy for the kids. I get more excited watching them get presents than I do about getting presents. It truly is better to give than to receive.

So until next time, bye!!!!

I'm a happy man.

The Chiefs beat the Raiders yesterday!!!! In Oakland!!!!! With the exception of post season games it simply doesn't get any better than that. They swept us last year and beat us at Arrowhead earlier this year so we needed this one. Hot damn I'm happy!!!!!

On a down note though my teeth are bothering me again. I have a wisdom tooth that needs to be removed. We won't be able to afford that until after the New Year. It doesn't bother me too much but every once in a while I get some food or something back there and it gets all infected and hurts like hell. There's a hole back there for it to get stuck in. When that happens a round of antibiotics usually takes care of it but it's a PITA to have to do that.

Also yesterday I went to start the Focus and it ran for about 2 seconds and died. After that nothing so it's screwed up the battery or at least the connections somehow.

Financially things are simply in the gutter. I need to get my wisdom tooth pulled, we need to get the Focus fixed, we need tires on the Focus. We need struts on the Focus. Our washing machine shot craps last week and on top of all this Christmas is coming up.

Oh well, I'm done whining. We'll get by. Something will turn up and we'll get out of this hole.

So until next time, See ya!!!!

Got a deer last night!!!!

It was the opening day of gun season and we got a deer. But we used the car. Yep, we hit a deer last night. We were going to Lowe's and on 14 highway right in front of the O'Reilly's it came out of nowhere and landed right on our hood. Kim was driving and neither of us saw it. It was like it came out of the sky. We were doing about 45MPH so we hit it hard. A lady that saw it happen said it flew about 35 feet and flipped in the air about 3 or 4 times.

We pulled over in a parking lot and got out to look at the car and see if we could find the deer. The hood is all smashed up but I think that's about the only damage. It didn't even break the windshield which is rare. Thank God nobody(except the deer of course) was hurt. Tucker was with us but he remained calm. He acted like it was just any other day. He's a pretty good trooper when stuff happens. He doesn't get excited, but then again neither do Kim or I.When stuff happens both of us keep our cool and just try to get through the situation.

So anyway, we got the car home. It started up and ran OK so I'm hoping that the damage is just body damage and nothing mechanical. I'd post pix but I'm not smart enough to do it.

Hey hey hey!!!!

I'm back. Thought I'd update y'all about what's been going on lately. Basically a whole bunch of nothing. But that's good. Drama is overrated. Around here we've just been trying to scrape up a little money for Xmas. Hopefully Santa will help us out. It'll be tight but we'll make sure that Tucker has a good time. Watching him open his presents is the best part anyway. Maybe Kim and I will exchange cards or something.

I just can't understand how the Xmas season starts earlier and earlier every year. It's 2 weeks until Thanksgiving and there's Xmas stuff up everywhere. 105.1 has been playing Xmas music for 2 weeks already. Crappy Xmas music but Xmas music nonetheless. It's like they search the bargain bins and bought the cheapest CD's for music. I have yet to hear one song that sounds good. Instead of The Christmas song by Nat King Cole we get Charlene down at the Dairy Queen singing her version.

Oh well, I can just change the station. The weather is still weird. It was cold a few weeks ago but lately it's been warm. We just can't seem to get seasonal weather. But I guess that's OK, warm weather is easier on my joints. The cold stiffens me up pretty good.

Tucker is doing great. We've been going to all of the local fast food joints and playing on their play-places. He loves it and it gives me a chance to sit down and just relax. If we're here he wants me to play with him all the time. I love playing with him but I also have things I have to do. Like cleaning the house, doing the dishes and such.

Well, that's all folks. See ya later!!!!

So Halloween has come and gone

Tucker was a fireman, he looked great. I dressed in all black, put some black make-up and blood on my face and neck. I'm not sure what I was but it looked cool. LOL Kim had on devil horns, a red Mardi Gras mask and a Chief's shirt. I'm not sure what she was either but it worked.

So now that Halloween is over I guess the Christmas season is here. That's the way it seems anyway. This Xmas is gonna be extremely tight but I plan on going all out. I want to decorate the house real nice and maybe get a few things for the yard. I'd love to put lights up but I don't have the electrical power to do that. I'd be replacing fuses by the hour.

The 1st thing I have to do is clean the house. It looks terrible. Having a spoiled 4 year old will do that. Toys everywhere. Having 5 animals certainly doesn't help either. Dog and cat hair galore. Especially Dale, with his skin problems he sheds terrible. Poor guy. But I'm gonna start hitting it hard today or tomorrow and get it all cleaned up. Since we only had the Xmas tree up for about a week last year I want to put it up early this year. Kim won't let me put it up too early though.

We're pondering getting a real one. Really the only thing that's stopping us is cost, like I said, things are really tight this year. But it's a lot of fun picking them out. I know we always had fun doing it when I was a kid. I remember how the cats would hide in the tree. You'd be there looking at the tree and the next thing you realize is that you see eyes looking back at you.

I can't believe that I've been blogging for over four years now. I'm surprised I stuck with it. But it's fun to go back and read how I was doing back then. I've been through a lot. Especially with my cancer. Ever since I beat it it just makes Xmas that much better.

So until next time, I'm outta here.
