Well, here's the latest

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that the Dr doesn't think I have a hernia. He thinks it's just the mesh from my last hernia pulling on my abdominal muscles. He wants to do a CT scan to be sure but hopefully that's all it is.

The bad news is that my maintenance man killed himself. I rent my house and the guy that works for my landlord killed himself last week. His name was Steve and was just a great guy. I guess he had a lot of pain and decided he couldn't take it anymore. That's the story anyway. I guess he had been looking for pain pills and had been trying to see a Dr for a while but just couldn't do it for some reason. When he did it his Mom and sister were on the way to take him to the emergency room. He used a shotgun on himself.

For that I have trouble forgiving him. I understand not being able to take the pain, but doing it when you know your family is on the way. And the method he used. His mother and sister will have that vision in her head forever. How would you like to walk in on your loved one with their brains splattered everywhere. How selfish Steve, how selfish.

Did you not even consider your family? Couldn't you have done it some other time and place? Also why didn't you ask me for some pain pills? I would have helped you out. Why didn't you tell Dan(the landlord--REAL nice guy) about all this?

I hope you're out of pain Steve but I also hope you know how much you've hurt people with your selfishness. I know how it feels to hurt and want to give up, and I can't blame you for that. When you're in a lot of pain even death sounds good. I know, I've been there and considered it myself. But to do it the way you did it was terrible.

That is all.
