10 Years

Kim and I have been together for 10 years. We met on Valentines Day 2001. I couldn't even begin to imagine what was in store for me. Who ever thought I'd have a child? And he's almost 6. Life goes by fast.

Tucker is still getting antibiotics through his PICC line, he should be done next week. I sure hope that that's the end of it. It'll be good to be able to jump back into real life. He's had to kinda take it easy so as not to rip the line out. He's gotten a bit spoiled. But that's OK. He deserves it. We'll just have to make sure he doesn't STAY spoiled.

Other than that things are normal around here. We're broke but reasonably happy.

Well it was cold....

but we survived. We pulled one of the mattresses into the living room and slept in there. The bedroom was simply too cold. This winter is brutal so far and they're saying we could get more snow this week not to mention the 2-3 inches we got last night.

Tucker is doing great. He doesn't even act like he had brain surgery less than 3 wks ago. He's still got his PICC line in until the 21st so we have to do that everyday. We had to reschedule some of his appointments this last week because of all the weather we've had.

I'll be so glad when all of this is just a memory. He's been such a little trooper through it all. It just breaks my heart he had to go through it. I've never felt so helpless. Hopefully he'll be healthy for the rest of his life now. He's been through enough for a while.

Not much else to say, just been stuck inside all week so I'm looking forward to Spring.

Snowpocalypse now

Well the Great Blizzard of 2011 hit today. We didn't have much snow where I live but just a short 50 miles North of us they have, in some places, over 20" of snow. On top of that we have wind gusts up to 40 mph. They have closed both I-70 and I-44 because of the driving conditions.

Now the frigid cold is coming in. They're saying that the next 2 nights we could get wind chills in the negative 20's. That's cold for these parts.
